Hercule Meetup 2025
A half-day dedicated to the future of biomanufacturing.

Every year we invite our community, partners and end-users to come and meet, around the topic of biomanufacturing excellence supported by digitalization ! It's the ideal event to get together and share experiences and success, present new features, roadmap of future versions, achievements of the Hercule software, workshops, training sessions, etc... This event is also an opportunity to showcase our partners' case studies, methodology or developments. Be there and see directly from the source the features of the new version!
This year's edition proposes three sorts of experiences : a conference session, with return of experience and forward-looking presentations, practical workshops, as well as a drink for more informal discussions.
Program
- Welcome address: Are you ready for Data-Defined Processes ?
- Thibault Helleputte - Everybody struggles with data.
- Marie Bastin - Multi-site biomanufacturing: how to master it, how to improve it.
- Dani Manjah (UCLouvain) & Julie Hurel - Computerized System Validation for systems with AI.
- Jean-Louis Jouve (Theraxel) - Holistic and Empowering: the Hercule roadmap.
- Thomas Des Touches - The European Biotech Campus.
- Frédéric Druck (EUBC) & Demonique Demonté (EUBC)
Participants will be given the opportunity to practice. Two parallel workshops, very practical and stimulating, are proposed :
- Workshop#1: End-to-End Data-Defined Process Development.
- Topic : Process development is generally done operation per operation and don't take into account historical data or expert knowledge. In this workshop, we consider a novel methodology to study the process in an end-to-end way taking the interactions between operations into account as well as historical data and expert knowledge.
- What you'll do : During this workshop, you will test this new methodology. Starting from a given process, you will visualize it and capture your expert knowledge into dedicated tools. You will then highlight links based on historical data. Thanks to this expert knowledge and data-driven links, you will be able to screen and rank measures of interest to be tested in an end-to-end way to better understand the given process.
- What you'll learn : A new methodology to study the process in an end-to-end way taking the interactions between operations into account as well as historical data and expert knowledge.
- Workshop#2: From data silos to troubleshooting: A hands-on workshop.
- Topic: This workshop focuses on biomanufacturing troubleshooting, showing how a structured data-driven approach can help solve complex problems effectively. A central focus will be overcoming the challenge of gathering information from multiple sources and formats—a common barrier to effective problem-solving.
- What you will do: Using digital support tool, you will organize diverse data, apply graphics and statistical analysis to reveal patterns, and work through guided scenarios to identify and validate root causes.
- What you will learn: By the end, you will have developed practical skills in structured analysis and data-driven problem-solving that extend beyond the workshop scenarios.
As you register to the event, you'll be asked to choose among one of these two workshops.
No personal computer is required for the workshops.
We'll pursue the event by an informal time where we can all, as a biomanufacturing community, meet, discuss, exchange in an informal and cheerful way, around a few drinks and dishes. There might be gifts to take back home !
This event is by invitation only. If you would like to invite colleagues, feel free to contact us.
